Part 6 — Authorized User Tradeline FAQs

General Questions

What is an authorized user tradeline?

A credit account (usually a credit card) where you are added as an authorized user. The primary account's positive history — payment history, age, and credit limit — can potentially reflect on your credit report, helping build your credit profile.

Is using authorized user tradelines legal?

Yes. The process complies with ECOA and is supported by FICO and VantageScore. Creditory adheres fully to TSR, FCRA, and CROA. We facilitate legitimate authorized user additions without making false claims about credit scores or guaranteed results.

What results can I expect?

There is no guarantee of specific credit score outcomes. Factors affecting impact include your current credit profile, presence of negative items, tradeline characteristics, and the credit scoring model used.

How long will the tradeline stay on my account?

You are listed as an active authorized user for approximately two reporting cycles (about two months). Extensions are available in one-cycle increments at approximately half the original purchase price.

Will I receive a physical card or account access?

No. As an authorized user you will not have access to the actual credit card. The arrangement only impacts your credit report, and you are not financially liable for any account activity.

Eligibility & Selection

Who can purchase authorized user tradelines?

Most individuals with a credit report who are at least 18 years of age are eligible. The tradeline's influence depends on your existing credit profile.

What makes a high-quality tradeline?

Long account history (10+ years), a clean payment record, low utilization (balance under 10% of limit), and a high credit limit ($10,000–$50,000+).

When should I purchase a tradeline?

At least 5 days before the tradeline's reporting date (10 days for American Express). Many consumers purchase before major credit applications such as a mortgage or auto loan.

Process & Reporting

How long does it take for a tradeline to appear?

Typically 7–30 days (1–2 billing cycles) depending on the reporting schedule of the primary account holder and the credit bureaus.

What if my tradeline doesn't post?

Contact Creditory's support team. You are eligible for a full refund, store credit, or exchange if the tradeline does not post to at least two bureaus within the reporting period (see Section 20).

How do tradelines impact credit utilization?

The tradeline's credit limit becomes part of your overall available credit. Low utilization on the tradeline can help reduce your overall utilization percentage — a key scoring factor.

Risks & Compliance

Are there risks associated with tradelines?

While generally safe and legal, risks include misuse or misunderstandings. Creditory uses ethical practices and full TSR, FCRA, and CROA compliance. You are not responsible for debts of the primary cardholder.

Can a tradeline guarantee a specific credit score?

No. No legitimate company can guarantee a specific credit score change. Results depend on factors outside our control.

Should I use tradelines as my only credit strategy?

No. Effective credit improvement combines tradelines with utilization reduction (below 30%), dispute of inaccuracies, primary tradeline building, and on-time payment consistency.

By interacting with CREDO, you consent to the collection and use of information you voluntarily provide during the conversation, including your name, email address, credit score range, and stated financial goals, for the purpose of delivering personalized recommendations and follow-up support.

37. Credit Optimization Intelligence System (COIS)

The Credit Optimization Intelligence System (COIS) is an AI-generated personalized analysis designed to provide users with an overview of their credit optimization pathway, including key opportunities, dispute priorities, and score improvement strategies based on information provided by the user.

37.1 Nature of COIS

  • COIS is generated based solely on information voluntarily submitted by the user. It is not based on a live credit pull or official credit report.
  • COIS is provided for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute credit counseling, financial advice, or a credit repair service agreement.
  • COIS outputs are not reviewed or verified by a licensed professional prior to delivery unless separately contracted.

37.2 No Guarantee of Results

Creditory makes no representation or warranty that following a COIS recommendation will result in any improvement to your credit score, record, or financial standing. All credit improvement outcomes depend on individual circumstances, creditor behavior, bureau policies, and actions taken by the user.

37.3 Availability & Pricing

COIS may be offered as a complimentary feature during promotional periods or as a paid premium feature at Creditory's discretion. Access to COIS, including free or premium tiers, may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time without prior notice. Creditory reserves the right to transition COIS from a free to a paid service at any time.

37.4 Data Use

Information submitted to generate a COIS report may be stored securely and used to deliver the report, follow up with relevant product recommendations, and improve our AI models. Your data will not be sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

38. Credit Optimization Plan (COP)

The Credit Optimization Plan (COP) is a structured, personalized roadmap generated for users based on their credit profile, stated goals, and COIS analysis. The COP outlines recommended actions, timelines, and product suggestions intended to support the user's credit improvement journey.

38.1 Nature of COP

  • The COP is an AI-generated document based on user-submitted data. It is not a legally binding contract, a certified credit repair plan, or a guarantee of any outcome.
  • The COP is provided for informational and planning purposes only and should be used as one of several tools in the user's credit improvement strategy.
  • Recommended actions within the COP may include third-party products or services. Creditory is not liable for outcomes resulting from the use of third-party services.

38.2 No Guarantee of Outcomes

Creditory does not guarantee that following a COP will result in any specific credit score change, loan approval, or financial outcome. Results depend on factors outside Creditory's control including creditor behavior, credit bureau processing, user compliance, and individual credit history.

38.3 Professional Advice

The COP does not replace advice from a licensed financial advisor, credit counselor, or attorney. Users with complex credit situations, active legal proceedings, or significant debt are encouraged to seek professional guidance in addition to using the COP.

38.4 Updates & Revisions

A COP reflects the information available at the time of generation. Creditory is not obligated to update or revise a COP following changes in the user's credit profile, market conditions, or product availability. Users may request a new COP at any time subject to applicable fees or feature access.

Compliance Statement: At Creditory, we are committed to ethical and transparent credit enhancement. Our methods are fully compliant with TSR, FCRA, and CROA. Results vary — no guarantees. Clients may cancel within three business days of enrollment.
